Vardnes Herb Farm

Vardnes herb farm is at the heart of green tourism and ecological awareness

Vardnes Herb Farm

Vardnes Herb Farm is in the heart of organic health tourism in Norway. We work closely with Embrace Life Competence Centre and Embrace Life Complementary Medicine Centre and we always place nature first, even if it takes much longer to develop new products. We live on a borrowed earth and should leave it in better condition than we found it.

The Vardnes Herb Farm is owned by Tine Larsen, who took over her family estate in 2006 together with her husband John. Tine is the fourth generation to live on this farm.

Today, the farm is still 100% organic but only focusing on growing herbs, flowers, berries, vegetables and trees to produce natural products. These products include ointments, skin-care, soaps, teas, spices, berries, candles, farm-bread, cereals, jams, tinctures, extracts and dried flowers.

Every summer we open up our gardens so you can attend courses and seminars, teaching you how to grow your own herb garden. Schools and private groups can book separate visits.

Vardnes Herb Farm and Embrace Life Competence Centre are part of international exchange programmes for green earth development. We have students from all levels – BA, MA and PhD – placed up to 1 month for training and research. We only take two students at the same time.

Welcome to our small piece of paradise.

About us

We feel truly blessed to stay at this beautiful farm located on the fairy-tale island of Senja.

Fremdrift
